The Śląscy Family Returned to the Set!

Plan filmowy serialu (1).jpg

For a few days, Łódź became the center of a unique film story about clean air and everyday choices that change our environment. Between 26 and 29 August, the film set for the second season of the mini-series Take a Breath and Check about the eco-adventures of the Śląscy family took place, along with a photo shoot for the second edition of the educational and informational campaign We Take Air Under Our Wings.

On set there was a creative atmosphere set by outstanding professionals. Their experience and achievements made the production of the Silesia. Blue Sky Restored project films an event at the highest artistic and technical level. It was they who had previously co-created such productions as Oscar-nominated and awarded films, as well as laureates at festivals in Venice, Gdynia, Toronto, Dublin, and Madrid: Peter and the Wolf, Ida, Cold War, and the moving EO. Now they directed all their energy and talent towards a story of ecology, cooperation, and the power of social engagement.

New threads, new characters

Viewers can expect five premiere episodes in which the well-known Śląscy family takes on new challenges. The father begins a new job, the mother becomes more engaged in social activities, Antek surprises with hip-hop rhymes, and Julka celebrates success in the YouTube world. A new character also appeared in the storyline – the grandfather’s friend, who had just returned from Australia and brought a fresh breeze to the family’s stories.

A team with big names

Direction was taken on by Krzysztof Pawłowski, lecturer of directing and screenwriting at the Wrocław Film School, winner of the Special Prize of the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia in 2015 and a Fryderyk Award for the Myslovitz music video For You. Behind the camera stood experienced operators Mateusz “Wicher” Wiater and Mateusz Kawa, while the lighting was created by the Brutus Film team with gaffer Paweł Budzisz.

Sound was entrusted to Jacek Strzelczyk, set design was prepared by Iza Staniewska, and props by Dominik Szyrle. Reliable support was provided by Piotr Zalewski and Michał Jurczak. Costumes were handled by Karolina Tataj, while make-up was created by Joanna Biskupska, Iza Andrychowicz, and Anna Sokołowska.

Production was managed by Gabriela Kwiatkowska from soho.creative – producer and production manager, who has completed over 400 advertising campaigns for Polish and international clients and fashion sessions for ELLE Polska.

Jakub Idczak, founder and creative director of soho.creative, winner of first place in the AI Creative Challenge 2025, who this year received the award from Tommy Harper – producer of Star Wars, Top Gun, Mission: Impossible, and Star Trek – brought a modern vision and fresh perspective to the project.

Photography was handled by Sebastian Glapiński, a renowned commercial and business photographer with 20 years of experience, who captured the atmosphere of the set and the emotions of the characters.

The Silesia Family Together Again

Once again, the roles of the Śląscy family members were played by: Ina Levska – the mother, Michał Bidziński – the father, Krzysztof – the grandfather, Agnieszka Cesarczyk - Danusia, Laura Stelmaszczyk - Julka, Vincent Przybylski - Antek, and… Lufcik!

The good spirit of the entire undertaking

A special role was played by Jakub Drabik, project manager from Aplan Media. He oversees the implementation of the entire campaign and ties together all its elements – from film through communication and education activities to special events. On set, he was called the “good spirit” of the endeavor, because thanks to his coordination and commitment, every element found its place and time.

Education in a modern form

The new episodes of the series and the photo materials will be included in the educational and informational campaign We Take Air Under Our Wings, whose goal is to show ecology in everyday life – through the perspectives of young people, seniors, eco-managers, social activists, and educators. It is a story about cooperation, the strength of community, and the fact that clean air begins with our decisions.
