The Cool Summer Cinemas in Mysłowice and Marklowice

On July 27 and 28, 2024, two exceptional events took place as part of the "Silesia. Blue Sky Restored" project. The summer cinemas, along with additional attractions, were directed at the residents of the Mysłowice and Marklowice municipalities.
The Castle Park in Mysłowice was bustling with life during the first event. Under the guidance of subregional eco-managers Agnieszka Bujok and Agnieszka Szwaja, participants had the opportunity to learn a lot about ecological heat sources, energy efficiency, renewable energy technologies, building thermal modernization, and financing options. The "Silesia. Blue Sky Restored" booth was extremely popular among both children and adults.
The Bajtel Foundation – Mysłowice Helping served cotton candy and nachos to the participants, while the We Build the Future Together ZSP3 Association organized exciting jumps with Spiderman. The Alee Frajda Education and Animation Center provided plenty of animations and laughter, offering children chalk drawing, contests, puzzles, and exciting physical activities. Everyone could also enjoy delicious ice cream from "Ice Cream from the Window."
All participants were warmly welcomed with traditional Polish hospitality by Dariusz Wójtowicz, the Mayor of Mysłowice.
The following day, the summer cinema moved to the Marklowice municipality. Those interested in the topics of heat source replacement, energy efficiency, renewable energy, thermal modernization, and financing support programs were greeted by municipal eco-manager Czesław Kominek and Mayor Wiesław Mika.
During the event, Marklowice residents visited the "Silesia. Blue Sky Restored " booth in large numbers, where they could gain valuable knowledge and enjoy popcorn. The afternoon was filled with games, animations, and laughter thanks to the Alee Frajda Education and Animation Center.
In the evening, under the starry sky, the movie "Top Gun" featuring Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer was screened in both municipalities, attracting numerous movie enthusiasts. Viewers had the chance to travel back in time by dressing up in 80s fashion – aviator sunglasses and leather jackets. Ten of the best-dressed viewers were awarded special surprises.
The events were organized by Aplan Media. They were part of the "We Take the Air Under Our Wings" campaign, which aims to promote ecological heat sources and educate about financing options for these technologies.
