The ceremonial inauguration of the project "Silesia. Blue Sky Restored”

The inauguration of the project "Silesia. Blue Sky restored". The meeting was attended by project partners, representatives of supporting institutions and the European Commission, as well as journalists. 

During the meeting, Jakub Chełstowski, the Marshal of the Silesian Voivodeship, presented the project as an example of the active operation of the Silesian Voivodeship to improve air quality in the region. 

The tasks of the Silesian Voivodeship in the project, with particular emphasis on the regional network of eco-managers, the regional eco-information system as well as educational and information activities, were presented by Izabela Domogała, member of the Management Board of the Silesian Voivodeship. 

The following also spoke about the role and tasks of the institutions they represent:

  • Paweł Mirowski - Deputy President of the Board of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management
  • dr inż. Aleksander Sobolewski - Director of the Institute for Chemical Processing of Coal
  • prof. dr hab. eng. Andrzej Szlęk - Silesian University of Technology
  • dr Leszek Trząski - Deputy Director of the Silesian Botanical Garden. 

The special guest was Francesca Ettorre, Project Advisor, Representative of the European Executive Agency for Climate, Infrastructure and Environment (CINEA), who presented the assumptions of the LIFE Program as well as the places and values ​​of the Polish project in a live broadcast. 

The main point of the program was the presentation of certificates of participation in the program to all Partners.
