"Segregation Action" in the Kroczyce Commune

Preschoolers During Waste Segregation

On May 17, 2024, a unique event aimed at environmental education for the youngest residents took place in the Kroczyce Commune. Aneta Szczechla, an eco-manager in the Kroczyce Commune, organized classes for children related to waste segregation, perfectly aligning with the celebration of World No Waste Day on May 11.

As part of the "Segregation Action," Aneta Szczechla visited the kindergarten in Siamoszyce. Although the kindergarten is small, the children showed great enthusiasm and interest in the topic of environmental protection. The eco-manager conducted a lecture on proper waste segregation, recycling, and the impact of air pollution on health and quality of life.

During the classes, the children learned how to properly segregate waste and the importance of recycling. They were actively engaged in practical exercises – independently collecting scattered waste and deciding which bin it should be thrown into. At the end, each group received waste segregation bins to use their newly acquired knowledge daily.

The classes were not only educational but also full of joy and fun. The children asked many interesting questions, indicating their growing interest in environmental protection. The aim of these classes was to instill in the youngest a love for nature and a sense of responsibility for it. Aneta Szczechla emphasized that environmental education from an early age is crucial, as each of us impacts the state of our environment.

The preschoolers had the opportunity to learn why keeping the environment clean is so important, the potential consequences of pollution, and simple habits that can help protect nature. The "Segregation Action" was an excellent opportunity to show children that their actions matter and that even the smallest gestures can contribute to protecting our planet.

Thanks to initiatives like the "Segregation Action" in the Kroczyce Commune, we can hope for a more environmentally conscious society that will care for the natural environment for future generations.
