New Year's Concert in an Eco-Friendly Style

On January 12, 2025, the sports hall in Kroczyce was filled with the magic of music, dance, and an ecological message. This year’s New Year’s concert, which has become a permanent event in the local calendar, once again drew crowds of residents and art enthusiasts from across the municipality. Around 400 people attended the event, enjoying not only exceptional performances but also learning more about environmental protection efforts.
The stage hosted many talented artists from the Kroczyce municipality. The audience had the pleasure of enjoying performances by soloists such as Karolina Mikoda, Michalina Nędza, Karina Sornik, Julia and Wiktoria Szlachta, Joanna Kubik, Wiesław Foryś, Bartłomiej Rygner, Bernard Stawarz, Karol Szatan, and Marcin Szlachta. Their performances, full of emotion and passion, were met with thunderous applause.
The event was further enriched by performances from artistic ensembles and groups, including the “Ziemia Kroczycka” Song and Dance Ensemble named after Helena Sochacka, the Municipal Brass Band, the Cecilia Choir, the Children's Dance Group “Małe Kroczyce,” and the Kroczyce Majorettes.
All performances were accompanied by the Jura Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Ignacy Siarkowski and Leopold Stawarz.
A special highlight of the event was an information and consultation booth prepared by the municipal eco-manager, Aneta Szczechla. As part of the project “Life Silesia. Blue Sky Restored,” residents had the opportunity to learn more about ways to improve air quality in the region and actions they can take to support environmental protection.
The consultation booth offered practical information on:
- Replacing heating sources with more eco-friendly options,
- Thermal modernization of buildings,
- Available funding programs,
- Details of the anti-smog resolution.
The eco-manager provided individual consultations, answering residents’ questions about, for example, the procedures for applying for subsidies or environmentally friendly heating technologies. Educational materials and examples of specific actions that could be implemented in households generated significant interest. Residents appreciated the opportunity to receive comprehensive information and expert support on-site.
Such initiatives are crucial in raising ecological awareness and contributing to real changes in our surroundings. The eco-manager's booth became not only a place for discussions about ecology but also an inspiration for actions to promote clean air and healthier living.
The New Year’s concert in Kroczyce once again combined culture and art with environmental care. Thanks to the dedication of local artists, organizers, and eco-manager Aneta Szczechla, residents had the chance to spend time in a unique atmosphere and gain knowledge that will help them contribute to environmental protection.
Events like these demonstrate the immense power of local initiatives – they bring communities together, educate, and inspire positive change. Kroczyce has once again proven that culture and ecology can go hand in hand!
