Meetings with Sosnowiec Residents as Part of the "Podwórkowy Mopsikobus" Initiative

The summer of 2024 in Sosnowiec was rich with outdoor events that brought residents together and promoted ecological values. As part of the municipal event titled "Podwórkowy Mopsikobus," the Municipal Social Welfare Center (MOPS) in Sosnowiec organized a series of meetings in various city districts, offering residents not only attractions but also valuable information on environmental protection and the possibility of obtaining funding for pro-ecological activities.
In July 2024, the meetings took place in four different locations:
- July 1: Porąbka district, the square with a playground at Wiejska Street
- July 8: Milowice district, the park with the stone at Baczyńskiego Street
- July 15: Zagórze district, the playground at Dmowskiego Street
- July 22: Niwka district, the square by the pool near the playground
During these events, residents had the opportunity to participate in educational games about "clean air" and "clean energy." Additionally, MOPS experts provided advice on the possibility of obtaining funding for energy audits, thermal modernization, and heating source replacement. It was an excellent opportunity to gain knowledge about ecological solutions and ways to improve air quality in our city.
Alongside the outdoor events, MOPS Sosnowiec actively engaged in organizing activities for children as part of the day camps. The meetings were held at:
- July 2, 16, 30: Center for Non-Governmental Organizations at Pl. Kościuszki 5
- July 5, 11, 12, 17, 18: Residents' Clubs at Baczyńskiego 14, Tuwima 8, Modrzejowska 42, Dietla 7c, Główna 19
During these activities, children participated in outdoor games that not only entertained but also educated them about "clean air" and "clean energy." Thanks to such initiatives, the youngest residents of Sosnowiec could learn the importance of caring for the environment and how they can contribute to its protection.
The "Podwórkowy Mopsikobus" initiative exemplifies excellent cooperation between MOPS Sosnowiec and the local community. Thanks to joint efforts, it was possible not only to organize attractive outdoor events but also to educate residents on important issues related to ecology and environmental protection. Such actions have a significant impact on building an aware and integrated community that cares about the future of its surroundings.
We invite you to follow the upcoming initiatives organized by MOPS Sosnowiec and to actively participate in activities for the benefit of our city.
