LIFE Information Day

On May 16, 2024, another LIFE Information Day took place in Warsaw, organized by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW).

The conference and substantive presentations were accompanied by stands from LIFE Program beneficiaries from all over Poland. At the Silesian Voivodeship's stand, the integrated LIFE project "Silesia. Restoring the Blue" was presented. This project involves the comprehensive implementation of the Air Protection Program for the Silesian Voivodeship.

Throughout the conference, detailed information about the "Silesia. Blue Sky Restored" project could be obtained at the stand, and attendees could also watch educational films created as part of the "We Take the Air Under Our Wings" educational and informational campaign. Leaflets and brochures containing key information about the project were also available.

The meeting was opened by Krzysztof Bolesta, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Climate and Environment, Dorota Zawadzka-Stępniak, President of the NFOŚiGW, and Marta Babicz, Director of the Department of Foreign Funds, NFOŚiGW.

The new Subprograms were presented:

• Nature and Biodiversity
• Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation
• Circular Economy and Quality of Life
• Clean Energy Transition

The conference agenda also included presentations from selected beneficiaries.

The meeting was an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences related to the implementation of projects funded by the LIFE Program and to establish collaborations.
