Ecozone in Kalety
Informational and educational activities related to clean air
Informational and educational activities related to clean air was part of the celebrations of this year's days of the City of Kalety.
In the Ecozone, adults could obtain a range of information on the replacement of the heat source, the need to adapt to the anti-smog resolution and possible forms of financial support under the programs: “My Heat”, “My Electricity” and “Clean Air”. It was also possible to read the required documentation and take advantage of advice on the selection of optimal heat sources.
For the youngest participants there were prepared, among others large-format educational games about clean air and painting with pastels on cotton bags of ecological slogans. A "blender bike" with the possibility of independent production of ecological juices was waiting for all participants of the meeting. Each of the participants of the meeting received commemorative ecological gadgets.
During the event, the "Defeat the smog" art competition addressed to the youngest inhabitants of the city was also adjudicated. Among the numerous submitted works, the awards were granted for those that stood out for their high creativity and awareness of low emissions. Ecozone was an official event in the calendar of the 30th anniversary of the European Union's LIFE Program. It was prepared by the eco-manager of the project "Silesia. Blue Sky Restored”, Sandra Świętek.
