ECOlogical Picnic in Jastrzębie-Zdrój
In Jastrzębie-Zdrój, in the Zdrojowy Park, in the rays of the spring sun, an ECOlogical Picnic was held on the occasion of Earth Day, organized by: eco-manager Edyta Garlińska together with the Department of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of the Jastrzębie Zdrój City Hall.
The motto "Invest in Our Planet" was to convince the participants that it is worth... It is worth taking small steps to achieve something great - clean air, a friendly environment.
Participants were to be convinced by ecological workshops, energy laboratories, consultation points and lectures. Energy Town presented the process of energy production using RES. The POLONES Laboratory showcased devices using renewable energy. The health resort-Olejarnia and beekeepers offered their products. EkoStop offered workshops on making ecological bath salts and eco soaps.
The Jastrzębski Water and Sewage Plant encouraged people to drink tap water, the Communal Dangerous Waste Collection Point taught children to segregate garbage, and the Municipal Cultural Center promoted art made of garbage.
The youngest were delighted with the eco-garbage truck, and the slightly older ones with the energy bike that powered the fruit juicer and blenders.
During the picnic, it was possible to return electronic waste, for which an eco-bulb or a seedling of an ornamental plant was received.
In such a nice atmosphere, the eco-manager had the opportunity to talk to the residents and provide information on what we can and how to do to take care of our air.
She also provided information related to the requirements of the anti-smog resolution and the possibilities of financing the replacement of heat sources.
