Earth Day in Połomia

On April 21, 2023, Monika Guzy-Woźnicka, our eco-advisor from the Municipality of Mszana, conducted activities on Earth Day with students from grades 1 to 8 at the School and Preschool Complex in Połomia.

Topics related to energy conservation in homes, renewable energy solutions, and waste segregation were discussed.

The children learned about what plastic is, how it was created, and why it is harmful to the environment.

The older classes, using the example of the clothing industry, learned about the concept of "zero waste." They discovered which brands utilize recycled products and what the term "passport" means, which the European Union is implementing in the fashion sector.
