Clean Air Day in Zawiercie Schools

Clean Air Day in Zawiercie Schools

On the occasion of Clean Air Day, Andrzej Gwóźdź, the eco-manager of the Municipality of Zawiercie, visited Class 2 at Primary School No. 1 in Zawiercie, delivering a lecture on air quality and its impact on human health and the environment.
The meeting aimed to raise ecological awareness and encourage children to take action to improve air quality in their surroundings.

The students’ interest in the topic of air protection exceeded expectations.
Thanks to engaging workshops, the children eagerly participated in discussions and practical tasks.

During the classes, the students learned the answers to key questions such as:

  • What is air made of?

  • Can air become “dirty”?

  • Where do “dirty” particles in the air come from?

  • When is the air quality in the area considered poor?

  • What materials must not be burned in household stoves?

The workshop also focused on explaining the health risks associated with smog.
The children learned how to respond when air quality is poor and what anti-smog measures they can take in their homes and local communities.

An important part of the meeting was a discussion on collective steps that can be taken to combat air pollution.
The atmosphere during the classes was friendly and the conversations with the students were full of inspiring ideas and energy for further action.

Clean Air Day is an excellent opportunity to spread knowledge about ecology and a healthy environment.
Initiatives such as the workshops in Zawiercie show how important it is to educate the youngest generation. They will become the future guardians of clean air and leaders of the changes needed to ensure a better environment for all of us.
