Blue Leap into the New Year, or my New Year's resolutions for clean air
The results of the art competition
Environmental education is not only theoretical knowledge provided by our eco-managers during educational workshops. It is also a variety of activities during which children can acquire pro-ecological skills.
Dominika Bukalak-Gaik, the eco-advisor of the Northern Subregion, together with the Lelów Municipality Office, organized a New Year's art competition "Blue jump into the new year - my New Year's resolutions for clean air".
The main objective of the competition was to disseminate knowledge about the threats resulting from poor air quality, raise environmental awareness and shape social behaviors conducive to improving air quality, as well as activating the youngest to take action to prevent air pollution.
The competition was aimed at pre-school children and students of grades 1-3 of primary schools in the Lelów municipality.
A total of 28 works were submitted within the statutory deadline. The children surprised the organizers with their commitment to the task. The interpretation of the theme of the competition took different directions. Creativity and creative imagination of young artists translated into beautiful works, carrying a very important message, which is the need to care for clean air.
