Art Contest "I Promote Earth Day Because I Respect the Planet"

In recent weeks, as part of the Life Project "Silesia. Blue Sky Restored," an art contest titled "I Promote Earth Day Because I Respect the Planet" was held. The contest was organized by the eco-manager of the Municipality of Kroczyce, Aneta Szczechla, under the patronage of the Mayor of Kroczyce.
The contest aimed to not only showcase artistic creativity but also to spread awareness about environmental protection and ecology. The task for participants was to create and design a poster promoting "Earth Day" using any materials of their choice, such as paints, crayons, tissue paper, colored paper, and recycled materials.
The competition was divided into two age categories: the first category was for grades I-IV, and the second category was for grades V-VIII. A total of 57 entries were submitted, presenting a significant challenge for the jury to select the winners. Creativity and originality were key criteria, but equally important was the use of ecological knowledge.
Participants demonstrated their remarkable ideas for an ecological future. Some artworks were so impressive that it was hard to believe they were created by such young artists. The level of difficulty and technical advancement of the works was extraordinary. The young artists depicted their visions of an ecological future with incredible precision and realism. The submitted works showcased not only artistic talent but also a deep understanding of ecology.
On June 7, 2024, a ceremonial award ceremony took place, with prizes funded by the LIFE Project "Silesia. Blue Sky Restored." The event recognized the efforts and creativity of all participants, highlighting the importance of ecological education and artistic expression.
The "I Promote Earth Day Because I Respect the Planet" art contest was a resounding success, emphasizing the role of art in promoting environmental awareness. The young participants not only had the opportunity to showcase their artistic talents but also contributed to spreading crucial messages about environmental protection. This contest is a testament to the fact that the future of our planet is in good hands with the younger generation leading the way in ecological awareness and responsibility.
