Announcement of the Art Competition Results: "With Sorting, We Clean the World for a Healthy Planet"

The art competition titled "With Sorting, We Clean the World for a Healthy Planet" has come to a close. The competition was aimed at preschool-age children from the Poczesna Commune. The goal of the competition was to disseminate knowledge about waste management, raise ecological awareness, and shape social behaviors conducive to reducing waste production while motivating the youngest to take action in favor of recycling.

Within the stipulated time frame, the competition organizer received 19 entries. The competition jury awarded prizes in two age categories:

Age category 3-4 years:

• 1st place - Laura Skwarczyńska - Preschool in Huta Stara "A"
• 2nd place - Hanna Gajda - Preschool Department - Primary School in Nierad
• 3rd place - Wiktoria Płaneta - Preschool Departments - Primary School in Nierad

Age category 5-6 years:

• 1st place - Amelia Jachura - Preschool in Huta Stara "A"
• 2nd place - Jan Zawadzki - Preschool in Poczesna
• 3rd place - Zofia Cierpiał - Preschool in Poczesna

The creativity and imagination of the children exceeded the expectations of the organizers; therefore, the remaining 13 entries were recognized with small ecological prizes.

Education is one of the cornerstones of the Integrated LIFE Project "Silesia. Blue Sky Restored," and building ecological awareness through involving children in artistic activities not only stimulates their imagination but also draws attention to crucial issues facing our planet.

The competition was organized by subregional eco-manager Dominika Bukalak-Gaik. The competition was held under the patronage of the Director of the Primary School in Nierad, Ms. Marta Muchla.
