About clean air in kindergartens in Zawiercie

Paulina Podsiadło, an ecomanager from the Zawiercie municipality, spent February on attending and carrying out many interesting classes on air protection in kindergartens.

The ecomanager visited Zawiercie Integration Kindergarten No. 3, Kindergarten No. 6, Toddler Academy, Kindergarten No. 7 and Teddy Bear Uszatek Kindergarten No. 2.

The activities were in the form of workshops in which children actively participated. To encourage children to actively participate in the activities, the eco-manager prepared a variety of tasks related to air protection.

During the workshop, she explained to the children what her job was all about and presented several experiments related to air, during which the children learned about its physical and chemical properties.

The ecomanager read the story "About an internal combustion engine that began to ride a bicycle", and the children, together with the teachers, interpreted its content with movement. Thanks to this, the game brought a smile to the children's faces.

The children also took part in physical activities related to the topic of clean air.

During the discussion, preschoolers recognized pictures of clean and polluted air. They talked about the causes of pollution and proposed ways to fight for good air quality.

Thanks to this, children learned about the phenomenon of smog, the causes of its formation and ways to fight it.

All participants created artistic designs of the Friend of Nature Badge, and then watched a cartoon about the smog phenomenon entitled "The Prince and the Smog".

The summary of the workshop was writing down the Principles of the Young Ecologist, concerning the protection of the natural environment, in particular air.
