A study visit to the post-mining areas of the Moravian-Silesian Region in the Czech Republic.

Group of participants.

In search of inspiration for new projects, we visited the post-mining areas of the Moravian-Silesian Region in the Czech Republic.

As part of the #LIFECOALA project, representatives of the Departments of the Marshal's Office of the Silesian Voivodeship came to POHO: #poho2030 to look at Czech transformation projects.

After a short visit to the "crooked" church of St. Piotr from Alcantara we started the sightseeing route from a strategic place - the area of the former Gabriela mine, which is to be transformed into the central point of the post-mining landscape called POHO Park in the near future.

Czech Colleagues also presented us plans to transform the Lazy mine and adaptation plans in the area of the Karvina Sea.

There was also a short walk around the Doubrava Commune and getting acquainted with the activities of the LIFE COALA project located in Kozinec and Kotliny.

And because the weather was really unfavorable, we all appreciated the magic of the old, warming stone oven and the warm tea we were offered in Dřevěnka in Doubravska.
