A Saint Nicholas Day Meeting at the Municipal Library in Kroczyce Filled with Ecological Surprises

On 8 December, the Municipal Library in Kroczyce hosted a special Saint Nicholas Day event that attracted many children and their parents, creating a warm space full of festive atmosphere. This year’s edition gained a unique character thanks to the combination of traditional holiday joy with ecological education, prepared by the eco-manager of the Kroczyce Municipality, Aneta Szczechla.

The youngest participants listened with great interest to an extraordinary story about Santa Claus, who this year decided to take care not only of gifts but also of the environment. In the tale, Santa and his helpers tried to protect nature, reduce waste and use planet-friendly solutions. The story showed, in a humorous and accessible way, that even the smallest everyday actions can genuinely contribute to improving the state of the environment.

After the reading, a lively and enthusiastic discussion began. Children eagerly shared their ideas for living more ecologically and talked about how they take care of the Earth in their daily lives. Among their suggestions were waste sorting, saving water and energy, using reusable packaging and planting trees. The engagement of the youngest demonstrated that ecological education in this form not only teaches, but also inspires action.

The winter scenery of the library, festive decorations and small gifts prepared for the children made the event full of joy, warmth and kindness. The creativity of the young participants and their openness to discussions about ecology gave the meeting a unique energy that spread among everyone present.
